Day-of Event Coordinator — Tech Bachelorette Startup Networking Event

Day-of event coordinator for a 50–80 person startup networking event in East Austin hosted by PEAK6 Trials (Tech Bachelorette — startup pitch night).

Date & Hours: Thursday, April 30, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM (5 hours, including setup and teardown)

Location: East Austin, near East 6th St corridor

Dress code: Startup casual

Responsibilities: - Venue setup (6 PM): signage placement, coordinate mic/speaker check, bar coordination

• Guest check-in and name tags when doors open at 7 PM
• MC coordination: ensure MC has run of show and pitcher lineup, manage stage transitions
• Bar tab monitoring: track spend and flag if approaching cap
• Crowd and flow management throughout event (pitches, breaks, networking)
• Teardown and venue close-out at end of night (10–11 PM)

Run of Show: - 6:00 PM – Setup

• 7:00 PM – Doors open, open bar, mingling
• 7:30 PM – MC takes stage
• 7:40–8:20 PM – Pitch Round 1 (4–6 founders)
• 8:20–8:40 PM – Break
• 8:40–9:20 PM – Pitch Round 2 (4–6 founders)
• 9:20–9:30 PM – Rose Ceremony / audience vote
• 9:30–10:00 PM – Open networking
• 10:00 PM – Bar tab closes, teardown begins
• 11:00 PM – Full close-out

Ideal candidate: Organized, personable, and comfortable managing a lively, high-energy crowd. Must be reliable and punctual. Prior event coordination or hospitality experience required. Austin local preferred.

Budget: $200 flat for the 5-hour shift. This is a fixed gig rate — no overtime.
